Please pardon my lack of updates.
The past month or so has been challenging. The kind of challenging that is hard to put into words. The kind that makes a person keep to themselves and sleep a lot.
Darkness comes early, and the cold is quick to follow. Thankfully, I have been given all kinds of things to keep my American self warm. My fiancé made sure I had my share of flannel and thick socks. Friends here have given me blankets, heaters, and thick wool sweaters. And let me tell you. Heinz makes fantastic tomato soup. Winter, I'm ready for you.
It's sinking in that I'm here. I'm actually here, and it's amazing. For a while, I was kind of in a daze and couldn't really wrap my mind around the fact that I am finally living in Fort William. I am in the place I have been dreaming about for the past year.
Living here is absolutely everything I had hoped and prayed for. I'm getting into more of a rhythm now, and I promise to update more.
For now, know that God is working. Please keep praying for this place and for these people. And for me.
Thank you!
